How it works

Eight simple steps from blank canvas to a lamp that's completely yours.

Add the Final Touches

Finish with rims, accents and little details that make the lamp unmistakably yours

Sketch Your Design

Once your lamp is sanded smooth, pick up a pencil and lightly draw your design straight onto the surface. Flowers, shapes, swirls — anything you love. This is your blank canvas, so play.

1

Tape Your Pattern

Love clean lines? Use our tape to map out stripes, checks or plaids. Press the edges down firmly for crisp, paint-ready borders.

2

OR…

Trace With Stencils

Prefer a little guidance? Reach for our stencils and trace your favourite shapes onto the lamp. An easy way to get a polished look with zero pressure.

3

OR…

Fill In Your Colors

Now the fun part — bring your design to life. Paint inside your lines and layer your colors however you like.

4

Keep Painting

Build up your pattern stroke by stroke. Take your time — there's no rush here, and no wrong way to do it.

5

Assemble Your Lamp Kit

Once your paint is dry, fit the cord, fitting and hardware together. Just like that, your painted base becomes a real lamp.

7

Pop In the Bulb

Screw in your bulb, switch it on, and watch your creation glow. Then take it home and light up your space.

What is the lamp-making & painting workshop?

It's a hands-on creative session where each guest designs, assembles, and paints their own lamp to take home. No art experience is needed — a host guides every step, from choosing materials and colors to the finishing touches. It's the kind of activity that gets people talking, lowers the guard in a group, and ends with everyone holding something they're proud of. Book this as a team offsite here!

Why a take-home workshop works so well

After 14 years of hosting creative experiences, the activities that land best are the ones people walk away holding. A lamp on someone's desk or shelf keeps the day alive long after it ends — which is exactly why lamp-making is such a strong choice for team-building and celebrations. Lead with the experience and the keepsake, and the connection takes care of itself.
