Some of our favorite hours at Bat Haus happen before any guest arrives — when an empty room slowly becomes someone's most important day. This week, that day belonged to Juaria.
Her Nikah brought 50 guests to our space at 459 Grand Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and the setup came together beautifully: a floral arch as the ceremony backdrop, long wooden tables dressed and ready for the meal, and our paper lanterns and string lights warming the whole room. The layout was arranged so the ceremony and the celebration could flow as one — vows in front of the arch, then the room turning naturally toward food, family, and conversation.
How a Nikah setup works at Bat Haus
Every Nikah here starts with a conversation about how your family celebrates, because the room can be arranged more ways than people expect. Ceremony seating facing the arch, then a transition to dining. Family seating arranged the way your traditions prefer. The private backyard open for photos and fresh air. Setup time is built into every rental, and our host is on-site all day — so by the time guests walk in, everything is simply ready.

Bat Haus is fully bring-your-own, which means Nikah families bring the halal caterer they trust — or homemade dishes from the people who love them — with no corkage, no catering markup, and no required vendors. There's no bar minimum either, so an alcohol-free celebration is the natural default here, never a special request.
Your backdrop, your way
Juaria's floral arch anchored the whole room. If you're dreaming of your own, you're welcome to bring any arch vendor or have family set one up — and we're always happy to share vendors past couples have loved.
