There's a moment at every great bridal shower when the games are done and everyone's wondering what's next. A floral arranging workshop answers that — it gives the whole room something beautiful to do together, and every guest walks out holding the favor they made.
Bat Haus is an event venue at 459 Grand Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and we've been hosting celebrations here since 2012 — over 2,000 of them. Our bridal floral workshop grew out of a simple observation: the showers people remember aren't the ones with the most decorations, they're the ones where everyone made something.
What happens at a bridal shower floral workshop?
At a bridal shower floral workshop, every guest builds their own arrangement with fresh seasonal blooms, guided step by step by a host — no experience needed. Sessions run about 90 minutes to two hours: guests choose stems, learn a few real techniques from our in-house floral team, and arrange, wrap, and take home their bouquet. Flowers, greenery, tools, the guiding host, the venue, and setup and cleanup are all included, so the person organizing the shower gets to actually attend it.
The bride's arrangement always ends up the centerpiece of the photos — and unlike the games, nobody has to be talked into participating.
How much does a floral workshop cost in Brooklyn?
Floral workshops in NYC typically run $70–$130 per person; at Bat Haus, private group workshops are $135 per person with the venue and host included, and if you've already booked our space for your shower, the workshop can be added from $85 per person. That add-on route is the one most bridal showers take: rent the sunlit space, bring your own brunch and bubbly (we have no corkage or catering minimums), and fold the workshop into the afternoon. Small groups are welcome — bridal workshops start at a minimum of just six guests.

When should you book a fall bridal shower?
Six to eight weeks ahead — so September and October showers should be booked in July and August. Weekend slots go first at every Brooklyn venue, ours included, and fall is busier than people expect: it's the last stretch of backyard weather, and couples marrying in winter and spring often hold their showers in the fall.
